Point Grey Real Estate – Homes and Condos For Sale

Located on the very western tip of Vancouver and surrounded by water on nearly three sides, West Point Grey is one of the city’s most exclusive neighborhoods. The southern border is 16th Avenue, Alma Street is the eastern edge, and Blanca Street, almost following the coastline, frames the west. English Bay fronts the entire northern end.
Residents in this eco-friendly area are made up of artists, writers, University of British Columbia faculty, young families and civic minded leaders.

West 10th Avenue, running between Discovery Street and West 10th Avenue is the main business district. This is where the annual Fiesta Day, a carnival with parade, rides and shows, is held. Traveling north of West 4th the terrain slopes downhill to the waters of English Bay. This is where you find the Spanish Banks, named for the first Spaniards that landed in Vancouver, and Locarno Bay.

Schools in the area, aside from the University, include West Point Grey Academy, Ecole Jules Quesnel and the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary elementary schools. The point itself is named after a friend of Captain Vancouver, Captain George Grey.
