Sitting equidistant from English Bay in the north and the Salish Sea on the southern end of Vancouver, MacKenzie Heights is one of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods. It is a community of single family homes, both old and new, wide tree-lined streets and public parks. Its location on a ridge overlooking neighboring Arbutus gives residents a commanding view of the cityscape, the surrounding mountains and Vancouver’s various bodies of water.

This is an all residential neighborhood with shopping available along 41st Ave in neighboring Kerrisdale. A number of private schools are nearby including the Littleflower Academy, Crofton House, Vancouver College, York House and St. George’s Academy. Public transit does service the area but most residents prefer getting around by car.

Balaclava, Trafalgar, Valdez and Carnarvon Parks are all within the neighborhood. To the west is the huge Pacific Spirit Regional Park, parts of which fronts the Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club. The golf course runs along the Salish Sea shoreline, offering water views from the greens.
