Home to the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, a prestigious school named for one of Canada’s leading artists, Fairview is on the western end of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The neighbourhood is bordered by Burrard Street on the western edge, False Creek to the north and Cambie Street on the eastern end. The southern border is framed by 16th Avenue. The name describes the view of the North Shore Mountain, visible from locations north of Broadway.

A French immersion school, L’Ecole Bilingue is also available. Of these, only the L’Ecole and False Creek are within the borders.
